I tried to be a hero
I got up every day in the dark
I followed the law
I kept calm, I was calm trapped in queues
I respected the elderly
I tried to stay in the sun, in the light
I loved
But I’m cold today
And it’s damn dark all around
I tried not to think about you any longer
To not remind your eyes, your wound, your ideas
I tried not to look at the bottom of this empty bottle
I tried to sleep
To dream a better world
I tried not to run
I tried to breathe slowly waiting for the dawn of a new day
But now I tremble for my frozen blood and the acid tears from my blind eyes.
